Hey, Poker Playas!
The Red Dragon Event was once one of the premier tournaments held in Macau, enjoying a successful run that attracted poker enthusiasts from around the world. When Macau was no longer viable, the event transitioned to Manila, holding a few tournaments there. Eventually, it established its own poker room at the New Coast Hotel in Manila.
Although the Red Dragon hasn’t regained the widespread popularity it once enjoyed, it is steadily making a comeback. The iconic event is once again becoming a notable fixture in the poker scene, slowly but surely rising to prominence.

The official Red Dragon event will be held on Jeju Island Korea. But was there an event that was also named Red Dragon?
But with such bold statements from the RDPT, was there another event? It took us only a few minutes to uncover the truth and find out which event they were referring to. A side event of a major tournament was named the Red Dragon and will be held on the shores of Manila this coming month.
Upon verification with the RDPT, it was confirmed that no permission or notice was given to use their brand name for the side event. This unauthorized use of the Red Dragon name raises questions about the legitimacy and respect for branding within the poker community. Stay tuned as we delve deeper into this developing story.
