Team Cebu

A rising star almost a decade ago, Alquin, once known as the JC Tran of the Philippines, faced the consequences of his mistakes and had to pay the price. Now, he is part of the 18 vying to become the Sinulog 2024 champion. Can he win this event and fulfill the dream of becoming the poker pro he aspires to be? Stay tuned!

Edward Penaflorida

CHIPS – 283,000

Team DCAMPS

One of the few Manila-based players who arrived early for the Sinulog Festival 2024, he is now part of the 18 competing for the title. Qualifying early and maintaining his stack in Day 2, he may not have some fancy moves, but what matters is he is still in, and he could become this year’s champion.

Mark Chikoro

CHIPS – 245,000

Team CEBU

Cebu’s youngest veteran and a consistent player in terms of performance, Mark Chikoro, took a break from the poker scene to run his business. However, the lure of the 3 Million PHP was too hard to ignore. Delivering a solid performance over the past few days, he is now among the final 18 competing for the championship.

Christian Lavares

CHIPS – 215,000

Team Davao
Pre-event champion
AKA “the gout of Davao”

The Sinulog 2024 pre-event champion started strong for Sinulog 2024, winning the pre-event and becoming the chip leader of the main event for Day 1A. However, things went downhill, and they will enter the final day last in chips.

But then again Christian has won multiple events. Can he turn things around and make the saying “A chip and a chair” enough to become the champion?
