The pandemic is changing the future of the Poker world. Slowly but surely it is. Forcing people to stay at home in order not to be infected, slowly people adapted to a new normal.
Even some of the old heroes are slowly disappearing. They may never come back and even if they do, they will just become a part of a long-forgotten past.
Before the pandemic, there were big tournaments held almost every week. Heroes were born.
But when you talk about a year of no live poker action. Those stars would start fading away.
And then there are those who actually shine brighter. helping build new players to shine. Guiding them and helping them.
for today, we spoke to a little star being guided by a supernova that may shine brightly someday.
Maxwell Philippe Rosete
Currently at number 36 in the GPI Philippines. Maxwell is a newcomer compared to the others we have featured.
But he already has two trophies under his name.
What makes Maxwell different is that he is being guided by good people. He listens, hence he may one day have the opportunity to shine on his own.
He is young and he knows how to adapt.
But let us hear more from him.

How did you start playing poker?
like most of the players sa house game 5/10 blinds vs friends, I still remember the first time I went to Metrowalk the guards did not want me to enter because I was underage.Pero It did not stop me from pursuing my passion. I started playing online until I was allowed to enter Metrocard.
How was your online game?
back then before having coaches for my poker career spin n go was my game, i managed to earn decent money then decided to buy action for APPT tourney, There were quite a few people that were selling their action. Mike Takayama, flo and I think Edoc was the options for me back then. luckily i made the right decision buying an action from flo. He became the champion of the main event. I only bought a small action but it was big money for me back then.
Do you invest money in coaching?
yes, I do, I can not give you details as some are personal coaches. but they are worth the money. my game has improved a lot with the help of my coaches.
It basically helps you adjust your way of thinking until it becomes a habit. How to read your opponent. What move you should do next.

Who is your poker idol and why?
Charlie Carrel, because of his story about the 15$ deposit going to where he is right now.
How about the local ones?
none
but I do admire the game of flo in mtts and I think marc rivera for cash games because of his discipline
