Publish date: January 5, 2022

Hey, Poker Playas!

Day 2 of Okada Manila Millions went without much fuzz. It was not a very exciting day as turn out is not that good due to the new Quarantine restrictions.

A lot of players from Cebu have already canceled their flights and today might be challenging.

But let get on with the winner!

Event 4 – NLH Single Re-entry – 42 entrees

June Brix Nuestro has been crowned the champion of Event 4 of the Okada Manila Millions.

It was not an easy battle because it was a field of Poker superstars.

June might be new compared to some of the new players on the field. but he has been playing for years.

And that patient finally paid off, Grabbing a good stack early on. That stack helps him gain confidence and slowly Climb himself to the final table.

How star-studded was the final table?

Before we talk about the poker superstars. A bunny did slip in.  Lester (Hazel) Timinora also entered the final table. Like June, they have been playing for years now but are still relatively new compared to the big names there.

But Hazel has been committed to the game and has been climbing the ladder ever since.

Now on with the superstars!

Elmo Celis. Mr. Back to Back to Back and the Main event champion of the special tournament was the bubble guy for the money.

It was a preflop all-in situation where Elmo Celi was on top with pocket aces. but his opponent hit the jack of his pocket jack hitting a set.

His opponent was Richard “Hot Sauce” Marquez. one of PH’s top poker players according to GPI.

The “Hotsauce” have been running badly lately but maybe this win will start and push his game back on track.

Two other players we have featured Recently are on the final table. It was Jason Ambata and Joven Huerto.

It’s 2022 Baby, and our boys are ready to shine!

And of course, We can not forget that the best player of the Philippines and one of the big 3 poker players are also on the final table!

Mike Takayama once again hit the final table.

As there were not many entrees. Mike Takayama agreed to have the pot split as he is not greedy and willing to help new players build their bankroll.

A true champ!

Event 4 – NLH Single Re-entry -109 entrees

Rolly Rules!

Rolly Pamplona is one of the qualifiers for day 2! only 5 players qualified as the tournament played down to 5% of the field.
