As we may have more time before the next tournament. We will slow things down and highlight the players to watch out for in 2022.
As we have said there are many talented Filipinos out there.
We might visit the league soon and separate them individually in the weeks to come.
People might be wondering why we are optimistic when Manila is in alert level 3. That is because the world must keep moving forward. there is no other way.
And there have been improvements as each lockdown has been shortened. There are also promising poker rooms that may do big in 2022.

Bad boyz part 1
First, of all, they are not bad people. some of them are actually great people. If you get to know some of them. Let me repeat some are GREAT PEOPLE.
But in a game where you need to intimidate your enemy to win. these are the people that are based on how they stare down the people alone. They deserve to be placed in this category.
Seriously, if you have an enemy and you have this group of people behind you. They would think twice before making a move.
But in terms of intimidating people at the felt. hell, they are intimidating!
Yatz Javier
The Prince of Hugot! We can swear to you that this guy is quite a funny guy. His Facebook posts are actually quite fun to read.
But man, let me tell you something. look at the eyes!
Part of Metro Card Club team pro. Yatz is a great player who has not yet reached his peak. He was seen on the special tournament and Day 2 of the RVS cup.
He is loved by a lot of people and is SINGLE. Will this year be the year that Yatz finally has a big break in both felt and love? stay tuned!
Janno Alvarez
janno Alavarez is a Family man and has been active in some other ventures lately. but he is also a good poker player as he has made deep runs in some of the biggest tournaments in Asia.
But let us admit, he is quite intimidating on the felt
it is like the old spice commercial promoting Manly men. with a thick beard and a very intimidating look at any staredown. He is definitely a guy you would want to bring to any party in case you have problems. That look and build would definitely make people think twice. He is also known as a great chef!
Royly Oracion (Chipblaze)
With a body that is built like a tank. Tattoos on left and right. A stare that can intimidate people.
And definitely a good poker player!
He was at the final table of the Okada Manila million before the pandemic started and is a good poker player.
He is, we assure people that Royly is a great guy once you get to know him. You would know he is a great friend to have. On many occasions, we have seen him as being a great and supportive friend to other people.
And he is a good poker player that has a good record to prove it.
A definite must watch out for this 2022.
JC Sayo
If you ever get to watch those Hongkong triad films. you would feel that JC Sayo could be one of its lead stars.
A typical anti-hero.
For those who are not familiar with pop-culture references. anti-heroes are still good guys but lack conventional heroic qualities.
An example is one of our favorite characters Deadpool!
JC Sayo is a great person and a good poker player as he ran deep last special tournament-opening event.
But due to his mean look. he deserves to be in the bad boyz category!

We might feature the league again as it looks like we would have more time in the next few days. there are a lot more people we would feature that we know would do great in 2022.
