WSOP 2021 – The Reunion update

Hey, poker players!

There are Filipinos playing the current WSOP 2021. Currently, the reunion is ongoing which is a 5 million USD GTD event with the buy-in of only 500 USD.

It attracted a total number of 12,975 players and surpassed the guarantee.

here a little update. 

Mike Takayama – chip leader for day 1C – out at 639 place

The first Filipino to win a WSOP bracelet made an impact on day 1C. He ended day 1C as the chip leader. He bagged a stack of 4,575,000 chips in the Brasilia room where he won a bracelet in 2018. Takayama came out on top of a field 2,065 entries in Event #59: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Super Turbo Bounty; he became the first player from the Philippines to win a World Series of Poker bracelet.

As WSOP has just started we wish him luck on other events. 

Joseph Gustilo – still alive and at the top 50

Joseph Gustilo who sits on the #2 spot of GPI poker for the Philippines is still alive and fighting. 

He is still alive in the Reunion. it is still ongoing and have more than 600 players left.

Other players, we might have missed.

There were a lot of Asian players and Asian at heart that was spotted on the felt. as this is a big event. Tracking is not easy.

The King Sam Razavi was spotted, the current no1 GPI player for the Philippines. Reggie Bautista, BFG Ron Tse. 

Alex lee who is a regular in Manila and the Asian poker scene is still alive in the reunion. He was last seen winning the MOPT in Okada Manila before the pandemic.

We wish them all luck in the quest for the WSOP Bracelet.
