Okay. due to the pandemic, Poker has slowed down. A lot of the pros are now nowhere in sight. but there are many talented Filipinos out there who just don’t get chances. Well, this is their chance.
Mechanics and the real prize
The mechanics are very simple. which we have already posted.
But what is the real prize of “The Raid”.
What we are looking for are new players that have the talent but do not have the money. okay here is your chance. we will sponsor you on a few events on different events. if they are willing to improve. then we will help them
We asked Pokerista main group a few questions.
Why make the raid?
Nowadays, club owners and site owners are not that helpful. Yes, they would make freerolls and other stuff. but the so-called freerolls are usually with rebuy and add-on. they would tell you, Hey, join us so you can win. but most of the time that is the end of it. Why not go for a buy-in tournament with a good guarantee and give them a shot? and win or lose. they submit what happens so we can analyze the hands and in cooperation with other big pros. they would give advice on how to better your game. of course we also want to collect the data of the field as so we can help other players out.
Is it open for everyone?
Yes, it is. Anyone who joined the club can have a ticket. but if you want to be part of our project. of course you have to inform us so we know how to look out for.
Why not invite the pros?
it is not that they are not invited, they can join and they can have the ticket. but define a pro? If he is a pro then he would not join us and would rather play bigger and on his own right? and we are coordinating with some pros as they will be coaching some of the new players later on. We actually have a great line up of mentors.
Do you have a team already?
Actually yes, we have 10 players some of them are unknown. we hope they can win. but what is important is to see them in action.
Why not stake good players instead?
We did not close the doors with good players. but let us admit one thing. Ask any player looking for a staker. Ask them if they are good of course they would tell you they are good. but if they lose and keep lossing. “malas” or bad luck. Stakers stake players to earn a profit. we are doing this project to developed new good players. if a good player wants to be better. Then yes.
