Pokerstars Live at Okada Manila re-opening
Publish date: December 7, 2020

What could be the first poker room to open in Manila legally. Will they be able to grab the market that has been so hungry for live games every since the lockdown?

In a Viber message today, Pokerstars Live at Okada Manila announced they will resume operations.

Base on the photo that was posted. transparent barriers are in place and there will be 6 players per table.

The rake will still be at 10% which drew complaints. However, Gill Alim, the general manager of the poker room was quick enough to respond to any complaint.

5 players below as announced will only have half rake.

Bad beat jackpot

Prior to the lockdown, Pokerstars had the biggest bad beat jackpot ever in Manila.

The bad beat jackpot maybe big. but with only 6 players allowed and a rake of 10% plus the bad beat rake.

Will the jackpot be enough to draw the poker players out of the house.

The fact it would be 6-handed will make the table share bigger. but due to coronavirus, the threat of being infected could dissuade some players from playing.

Will they draw a huge crowd? will there be a tournament coming soon? What are the other rules if you want to play?

Online poker has been growing since the lockdown, will the player shift back to live.
