Hey, Poker Playas.
The action now shifts to Day 1B after an electrifying start to the tournament.
Day 1A drew a strong 126 entries, and after hours of intense poker battles, only 19 players survived the field to secure their seats for Day 2. With only around 15% of the field advancing, every pot mattered and every decision carried weight.
Sitting at the top of the chip counts is Anthony Castro, a familiar grinder in the local poker scene. Castro is known for his fearless style and once made headlines in a mystery bounty event, where he eliminated nearly the entire field to scoop up a mountain of bounties, leaving only a few players standing.
Day 1A also saw a number of strong and recognizable players enter the field, but the brutal structure allowed only a handful to survive the day.
Away from the tables, the atmosphere felt more like a true Filipino fiesta. Tournament management treated players to a special spread highlighted by lechon, bringing the festive spirit into the poker room and giving everyone a taste of classic Filipino hospitality.
And the action didn’t stop when the tournament bags were sealed. The cash game floor came alive, with four tables running simultaneously before we left the room, showing just how hungry players were for more action.
Now all eyes turn to Day 1B, which kicks off today at 3 PM.
If Day 1A was any indication, we could be in for another massive turnout and another day of intense poker battles.
The question now is simple:
How big will the field grow today? 🃏🔥
9D Poker – 2 million GTD
17:11 – LEVEL 5 – BLINDS 300/500/500 – 30/40 ENTRIES
16:46 – LEVEL 4 – BLINDS 200/400/400 – 21/30 ENTRIES
We are now at Level 4, and the numbers continue to climb steadily.
For a Day 1B flight, the current turnout is actually quite healthy. Traditionally, Day 1B tends to be the quietest flight, but so far the field is building at a good pace and the tables continue to fill up.
Of course, with poker tournaments, things can change quickly. Late registrations and last-minute arrivals could still bring a sudden surge of players as the day progresses.
With only 15% of the field advancing to Day 2, the pressure is already building as players fight to secure one of the limited qualifying spots. 🃏
16:05 – LEVEL 3 – BLINDS 200/300/300 – 19/21 ENTRIES
Level 3 — so far so good
We are currently at Level 3, and so far the trajectory of the tournament looks very promising.
The action started right on schedule with one table running at Level 1. By Level 2, the field had already grown to two tables, and now as we enter Level 3, the momentum continues with three tables currently in action.
The steady increase in players is a great sign for the flight, and the numbers are building nicely as more players arrive.
The big question now is:
Will the momentum continue as the day progresses? 🃏
