2020 WSOP Online – Event 06 – Nathan “surfbum” Gamble (champion)

Event 6 is the first non-hold-em tournament in the 2020 WSOP online and a good number still join hoping to be the proud owner of a WSOP bracelet.

Today event was the 2020 World Series of Poker Online Event #6: $600 PLO8 Six-Max which attracted 883 entries, Combining a $449,820 prize pool. 

After more than 12 hours of play, it is Nathan “surfbum” Gamble that came out on top.

This is his second bracelet as his first bracelet was won back in 2017. He played that WSOP Event #46: $1,500 PLO8 for $223,339 in a field of 830 players.

The final two tables (12 players adjusted to Omaha 6-max) were hot with 4 players are bracelet winners.

Nathan “surfbum” Gamble, Jeremy “Chipchecka” Ausmus and Randy “StayAlive” Ohel, All have won one bracelet. Max “MaxSparrow” Pescatori has won 4.

When it was down to 1 table. Only one bracelet winner remains. Nathan “surfbum” Gamble.

Starting at Level 31: 50,000/100,000/0 ante. The chip leader entering the final six was “rainman3817” with 5,055,052 in chips.

SSJTimmy came in with the shortest stack which was down to 594,548. But it was Simon “bagelbites” Lam who busted out first.

Simon “bagelbites” Lam has so far cash 5 of the 6 events.

The heads up started at Level 34: 100,000/200,000/0 ante. It was between Nathan “surfbum” Gamble which had 8,126,136 in chips against danish01 which had 4,368,864.

the final hand saw “danish01” bet for 600,000, While Nathan “surfbum” Gamble reraise it to 1,800,000. and then called “danish01’s” reraise to all in and “surfbum” calls 3,368,864.

Mike Matusow in hot waters After Threatening Player Who Busted Him.

Mike “The Mouth” Matusow got his nickname for his reputation of talking trash at the poker table. He is also known for sometimes ruining hours or days of good play with a single misjudgment (known as a “Mike Matusow Blow-up” or “Mike Matusow Meltdown”).

He has won 4 bracelets and lately joined the streaming party,  his shows have been so far well-received by fans, with several thousand viewers

During Event Event #5: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout. Mike entered but did not last long. 

He was in the big blind and raise 3 times the big blind while “wolverine17,” one the small blind called. 

On a 10 high flop. “wolverine17” check.

Mike Matusow shove and the players called.

Mike Matusow had AQ while “Wolverine17” had aces. Both turn and river did not help Matusow, and he busted in the very next hand.

On his youtube podcast, he was cursing and place a bounty on the identity on “wolverin17”.

“I am going to find out who this motherf***** is, and I swear to you, I am going to throw him up against the f****** wall, and tell him if you ever slowroll me again, I’m going to beat your f****** ass.”

A subscriber on his youtube channel posted the name of the “wolverine17” which was later confirmed with WSOP.com through its payout. “wolverine17” turn out to be a woman named Megan Milburn.

“I won’t hit no woman, I’ll just call her a c*** that she is when I see her,”

Matusow declared.

Mike followed through with his threat and search for the player’s twitter only to delete it later.

Before Matusow could delete it. it was screen-capped by DK Lappin.

Players reacted against Mike and he has apologized for his behavior.
