The Rundown – Monday 18 May 2020

It is Monday once again. it has been a long month as most countries are still in a lockdown or quarantine. The vaccine may still be months or years away. most countries realize that we have to move forward. hence some countries are opening their doors just to revive their economy.

However, be careful when going out and make sure to wear a mask and other protection, Maintain your distance from other people and make sure you clean everything before going in your home. 

Now here a quick rundown on what was happening this week.

Pokerstars – Spring Championship of Online poker (SCOOP)

First off, SCOOP is extended till the end of the month. adding a few more events with a huge guarantee. & events was added with great guarantees. 

There are a lot of good events to look forward to which makes the extension worth playing. with different buy-in and guarantee. some of them are the following.

SCOOP-96-L: NLHE
[8-Max, 2nd Chance Main Event]
1 MIllion USD GTD for only 55 USD

SCOOP-121-M: NLHE
[8-Max, Progressive KO, Sunday Million SE]
2.5 Million USD for 109 USD

Among the champions crowned were PokerStars ambassador Fintan “EasyWithAces” Hand, SCOOP 69-H: $1,050 Afternoon Deep Stack for $73,653. 

Charlie “Epiphany” Carrel won his third career SCOOP title in SCOOP 70-H: $530 Progressive KO for $67,469 plus a massive first-place bounty of $43,912.

Connor “blanconegro” Drinan ties the all-time SCOOP record, Drinan won his fourth SCOOP-title in a single series, tying Shaun “shaundeeb” Deeb for the all-time record.

Steve “Mr. Tim Caum” O’Dwyer wins the 25k Highroller event. 

GG poker – WSOP Super circuits online series

WSOP Super circuit online is still ongoing. yesterday a few events were played. 

Event 7 – Monster Stack – 500k GTD
Event 8 – Highroller Championship
Event 9 – Mini Main event
Event 10 – PLO Highroller 1M GTD

“ShopChop96” registered under Mexico was chip leader in the middle part of the tournament and stayed on top ever since. leading all the way and becoming the champion earning 130k USD for his effort. 

Event 8 – Highroller Championship ( 10 M USD GTD)

800-522-4700”  registered from Costa Rica won the high rollers championship. Playing on a total field of 505 runners to win the $2,198,292.

Event 9 – Mini Main Event ( 1 M USD GTD)

“miya111” registered from Malaysia took down 2020 GGPoker WSOP Online Super Circuit $100 Mini-Main Event. after ten hours of play on a total field of 4,104 players, Winning $278,361.

Event 10 – PLO Highroller( 1 M USD GTD)

ChilaxChuck” registered from Canada won the PLO Highroller event. taking home $442,041, and the WSOPC ring. The prize pool had a guarantee of $1,000,000, but the field ended up drawing 234 entries, making for a huge prize pool of just under $2,267,000

J88 just announced a new J88PT Millionaire. starting from May 27 to May 31, 2020.

Using their old formula where the buy-in and guarantees will start from a small buy-in corresponding to a good guarantee.
