The Hart of the Party – Kevin Hart is now PartyPoker Ambassador
Publish date: April 12, 2020

In the early months of 2017, Kevin Hart was seen attending PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and participated in the $100,000 Super High Roller. rumor has it he would become one of its new Ambassador.

it took a few months later before the deal became official, Back then Hart announced

“I really do believe in bringing people closer together,” he said. “I love the fact that poker is a game that can take people all over the world and sit them down at the table and give them the opportunity to engage, to converse, to get to know each other and walk away with relationships they never knew they could have.”

“I love to live, love and laugh. I want to bring this energy to the game of poker. And when I do this, poker will be elevated.”

Pokerstars was changing its principles back then. It was a big step for PokerStars to hire Hart as the company change its way of promoting the product.

The role of the celebrity promoting a product is as old as marketing itself.

“I use this brand, and so should you!” that was the logic behind it.

The logic was simple. find Recognizable, trustworthy names and faces serve to promote and legitimize brands.

The idea is simple, yet powerful. with the help of the media. as long as one pro is promoted and create awareness. if a consumer pushes to make a choice he would go for the player that is trustworthy.

The problem was as the years go by and some of these players are geeks and not appealing to the media. the exposure is less.

Hiring someone who is popular not only in the poker industry is a good choice as it tries to break the border.

Nowadays a lot of the pros are known to be pros. but in some instances, the brand they are representing is seldom mentioned nor the audience recognizes.

Resurfacing With Yong

Rob Yong announced it on his twitter as Kevin and  Yong came to an agreement for the movie and comedy superstar to bring his allegiance to partypoker.

Both men have often railed against the archetype of the quiet, calculating pro, something that Hart brought up in his video with Yong.

“Expect it to get real, and expect us to get rid of all of the people that make it so f****** technical, man,” he said.

Most countries are still on lockdown and live tours are being canceled left and right. with no signs of when it will resume.

As social distancing is encouraged it may take a while before the live felt can become as active as the Pre-corona days. But Kevin Hart always had millions of followers.

Will Kevin Hart be active in social media to promote poker until live tours are resume? stay tuned!

Poker tours are being held online now instead of live. Just a friendly reminder to all poker players out there.
