with only 3 more days before the Araw ng Dabaw starts. we were going around Manila to check things out.
While going around we found a funny situation that is actually common but the ruling by the floors of the room was quite interesting.
There going to be. a lot of topic for this article so lets get it on.

As we have no intention of shaming the room or anybody. Names and rooms will not be mentioned. we are after educating the players. We have consulted with respectable floors on the right ruling.
The situation.
Here is the situation, 25/20 game. Someone straddle. everyone calls, The player who made the straddle raises to 300. mid position shoves with 400. Can the players after the mid position go all-in? (for example big blind, small blind, and big blind)
Before any further action took place, this question was raised. The dealer insisted they all the players that called the straddle can now only call 400 and no one can raise or go all-in. A floor was asked and the same decision was implemented. Is this the right decision?

We have asked some of the respectable floors in the Philippines for their opinion on the matter, the verdict was that the betting was open to everyone except the players who raised it to 300.
the Aftermath
To err is human, we are never meant to be perfect. But the aftermath is sometimes more painful.
After that hand, the dealer insisted she was right. how she has dealt so many hands in the past and that is the right way.
A player asked us about our opinion. We shared that there was no point in sharing our own opinion as it would not change things in any way.
The dealer insisted she was right and was using both her own experience and the floor decision as the basis for being correct.
Even if we were to prove ourselves correct, She will insist on being right. Confronting such a decision will prove futile. It will only create negativity with both parties and will not create change.
Sometimes, the best approach is a different approach.
Reflection of the current society
There have been a lot of people right now who have from time to time insisted on their opinions as facts!
Everybody after all is entitled to their own opinion.
For example, the myth about Having big guarantees with low buy-in is the best way to attract poker players to a room.
Nope. truth is more players are getting more knowledgeable and like the payouts and structure matters as well.
Things are changing, and that is why we must be open to whats happening around us.
