Recently, GG Poker Manila changed its name to 2 Ace poker. it is still in the same location but was the name the only thing that changed?
Subtle was the changes but there were a few more things that did.
Were they good or bad?
Today we would look deeply into how they started, the changes they made, and looking deeply into those changes whether they are good or bad.
So here we go.
Marketing strategies and stuff
When a poker room starts out, it relies on the expertise of people. Normally, the expert would rely on what worked before.
The problem is each market is different. What worked for one will not work for others. But sometimes due to the limited experience of the experts. it tries to stick to the same pattern hoping someday it would work.
the battle so far
GG millions is a series of tours whose champions will meet to battle it out in the battle of champions this coming May.
Winners include Emmanuel “Godzilla” Segismundo. JM San Manuel, Lemmor “the magician of GG” patulot, Jen Jen pilao, Jonald Garcia and the latest one is Jeremy Catalig.
Leg 7 will start on February 15, 2023.
what to expect on leg 7
Although there were many complaints about the tournaments, GG Poker does listen.
Slowly some of those issues have been slowly fixed. of course, you can not expect change to happen overnight.
A better structure
The structure has been changing ever since. there is no perfect structure that would fit every player. that is just facts.
Some players love it fast while some players love it to be slower.
The other legs of the tours all had different structures starting with leg 2, so far leg 7 structure was well received and no complaints of it being too fast or too slow was recieved.
12% of the field is out, Play till level 15.
For leg 7, they will play till the end of level 15. The reason is that some players do prefer to come back already in the money hence the original format was introduced.
For leg 7, they will use the standard format where players that survive till level 15 will qualify for day 2.
