It is sad sometimes that due to covering an event, we want to be fast in order to update the players on what was happening. Everyone was excited to know how won.
But in order to do that sometimes we have to let go of a great part of the story. the numbers and pictures are all that is left, and then we move on. But the story and the experience are what make it great.
So we are doing a reload focused more on the story.
Its a reload of what happen on March 3,2022 APT RWM Mystery bounty weekend Day 1

12:00 – 1 hour before the tournament starts
It is great to be back at Resort World Manila! For more than 2 years, there was no poker tournament in the Resort World. This was because of the lockdowns measures that were in place.
The poker room is now in a new wing which is called the Grand Wing. Some poker events were held there before the lockdown. but what is amazing is the transformation of the old wing.
Times have changed.
There are more new restaurants and one of our favorite coffee shops, Cafe Mary Grace even set up a branch there. But now off to the poker room!
The poker room is located in The grand wing. APT staff was busy preparing for the day ahead. It would be a long day. Although only 2 events were scheduled. the warm-up event and a satty. Everyone was happy.
Even the dealer was excited to deal in such a prestigious event. it is not about having work again. it is about being part of something great.
They were all smiles looking forward to being able to participate in such an event
Slowly, the room started getting busy, players started flocking in. There were a lot of early comers. Eager to be able to participate in such an event.
13:00 – Tournament starts

As the line formed and players look for their table. We can see some familiar faces already ready to win the first-ever “Mystery Bounty weekend”
Jason Ambata and Richard Marquez were among the early-level players. Junebrix Nuestro was also there.
Later on, team captain of Action PH Dave Spade joins in hoping to bring one home for this team.
Renniel Galvez who although did great during the Manila super series warm-up event was disappointed in his main event performance, hope to correct it in this event.
More players came in later on. Team Metro was definitely well represented as Alexis Lim ALl the way from Cebu, Fly in to join the event. Joven Huerto was on top form. Vamerdino Magsakay, who is both a Metro Team Pro and an action PH player is also seen on the felt.
Vamedrino Magsakay had a great run during the Manila Super Series winning 2 events.
The ladies were also present ready to play the game.
Gizzelle Macks Raluto, Hazel Timonera, and a very mysterious girl were present in the felt.
The “Hari ng” Pinya who vowed to also conquer the Hold em world was also present. Kim “The Icebreaker” Enriquez is also in, Jeorge Legatuz who would make a deep run in the main later on was present. Manila Super Series side event champion Patrick Enriquez, Online player Edwin ” hit the heat” Dela Cruz and Badboyz Janno Alvarez.
There was also Junnie “Rolly Rules” Pamplona and Emman “The Godzilla” Segismundo

The breaks in between
One of the best things about the APT is that they do listen to players. It would be difficult to play long hours of poker nonstop. yeah, they too have only 10 minutes breaks. but they do serve food in the player’s lounge.
The truth is the chef really must be evil as the first food that was served was the ham and cheese croissant which was delicious. We did wonder what the food will be like the next day.
In the money
The Mystery Bounty is actually a fun new concept that started in the US. but it was the APT that wanted to bring it here to let the players have more fun.
When the players reach the money. Every player receives a bounty. If you bust a player out, you get the bounty and you have a chance to draw a big prize. the bounty is not fixed.
Everyone was excited to try it out, as luck would have it, It was Lester “Hazel” Timonera that took the first bounty.
However, she did not draw the biggest prize. There were 2 big bounties of PHP 44,000 in the mix. Once players figured it out. They were excited and started forming strategies.
Note: It was actually quite brilliant to start it with a small event. Like all new things, players were too eager to get the bounty more than win the tournament. They were after the big bounty. Later on, as the Mystery bounty was played especially the main. there were players who stood on the main path of winning the tournament and treating the bounty as a bonus.
Something old and something new
One of the other things we noticed about the APT was their models, There are regular models of the APT, and the truth is they are some of the nicest girls in the industry. They know poker and exactly know how to assist the players.
Coming back to the APT the regular model was a familiar sight. but then 2 new models were introduced. Allyssa and Rizza Mae.
it was a theme of the tournament. having something familiar like good old fashion poker but adding a new twist like the Mystery Bounty.
Back to the game and the final 8
As the player enjoyed busting each other. in the end there can only be 1. slowly the numbers started thinning until there were only 8

As the game was streamed on youtube players can check the final 8 out. As everyone knows by now Richar Marquez was the champion but it was Allan Daypuyart that took home both the biggest bounty.
