Hyakki Yagyo
THe night Parade of a 100 Dcamps
Hyakki Yagyō, or the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons, is a captivating tale from Japanese folklore. This thrilling story describes a supernatural procession that roams the streets during the dead of night. According to legend, it includes a multitude of yōkai—monsters, demons, and spirits—each with its unique and terrifying characteristics.
And here we are in Cebu, where the poker team DCamps has descended like a modern-day Hyakki Yagyō, the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons. DCamps, with its formidable presence, has played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the 3 million guaranteed IVP Cup 2024 poker event, pushing the prize pool beyond its guarantee.
Just as the night parade in Japanese folklore was created to protect and empower the smaller demons, DCamps has banded together to support and guide emerging poker players. Led by Andrew De Ocampo and Michael De Leon, they have cultivated a strong community of players seeking mentorship and growth. When Ivy VP needed assistance, DCamps answered the call.
Their arrival at Cebu’s shores has been nothing short of an invasion, bringing energy and fierce competition to the IVP Cup 2024. This band of poker warriors has turned the event into a spectacle, demonstrating the power of unity and shared passion. The night parade of DCamps marches on, leaving an indelible mark on the poker landscape in Cebu.
The tournament has now reached Day 2, and a tough battle lies ahead. Will the parade of DCamps succeed and claim victory in the IVP Cup 2024? Stay tuned to find out!

BONDS
In a world that has changed so much lately, we now find ourselves in an era where creating or writing content using AI is commonplace. Shortcuts are promoted, making it easier for people to become complacent, believing that everything can be done effortlessly. However, we must remember the irreplaceable value of being present, witnessing, feeling, and experiencing real events firsthand. It is these genuine experiences that provide us with a true glimpse into what is really happening.
Recently, there’s been a trend in the naming of events, with some organizers aiming for profit while others have more personal motivations. This development highlights the evolving nature of our event culture, where names carry significance beyond mere identification.
The IVP Cup holds a special place in our hearts as it was one of the first poker events we covered after restrictions eased. This event was initially seen as a celebration of Ivy’s birthday, known as the Poker Queen of the South. At first glance, it appeared to be a promotional effort for her poker room. However, as time passed, we discovered the deeper meaning behind the IVP Cup.
Ivy organized this event not just for promotion, but to bring her friends to Cebu, strengthening the bonds of friendship. Many of her friends are poker players, making this event a perfect opportunity to gather, play, and celebrate together. Tonight’s Ladies Event was a testament to this, filled with laughter, catching up, and enjoying each other’s company. Even as we left, the party was still in full swing, hinting at more celebrations to come.
Ivy’s victory in the event was marked by her insistence on a group photo, capturing everyone who attended. This small gesture aimed to preserve a memory, showcasing the importance of these moments.
As the event reaches its climax and attendees return to their daily lives, Ivy’s efforts have ensured that the experience and bonds formed will last. Each year, this event will continue to grow, fostering stronger connections and creating lasting memories for all involved.
