Hey, Poker Playas!
As one tournament ends, another one begins.
The Sinulog Festival at the Voyager Poker Club in Cebu City concluded just yesterday.
But the first Kuyamis of the Kings Card Club is about to begin.
Initially, we were planning to head back to Manila, but plans changed, and we had to adapt to those changes.
Now, during this short break before we head to Cagayan de Oro, let’s look back at the recently concluded Sinulog Poker Cup at the Voyager Poker Club.

What you missed
Sinulog 2024
The Tournament
The first biggest tournament of Cebu for 2024 and the largest since the pandemic was a smashing success.
Not only did it exceed the pot, but the players also got a taste of the great hospitality of Cebu.
Players from all around the Philippines came to take part and experience the biggest fiesta in Cebu.
Even foreigners from Japan, Korea, Europe, and America joined in to partake in the festivities.
Not only did they vie for the title, but they also wanted to savor Cebu’s biggest festival.
Speaking of the tournament, the Main Event was secured by the home team of Cebu. Although Manila made a good effort and had the majority at the final table, it was ultimately won by a Cebuano.
Some players missed the best part of Cebu, focusing solely on the tournament. The management recognized this, and it’s where Cebu’s hospitality shined the most.
Sinulog 2024
When players cant come to the festival, you bring the festival to the players.
The Management knows how poker players are. most of them will just play and go bac to their room. only a few really went to places.
So what do you do?
The Management took extra effort to bring the festival to the players, expanding and creating additional efforts to showcase the hospitality of Cebu. Players were treated with something extra special. We will definitely share more about this very soon.
It was a great experience, and the Sinulog Festival will be a must-attend poker festival, especially if it’s organized by Voyager Poker Club.

The Voyager Poker Club is growing, and undoubtedly, it can only get bigger.
Ivy VP and John Ong make a good tandem.
We can’t wait for Cebu’s other tournaments because it will only get better.
Editors note
Embracing change
Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024
We believe 2023 was the year of challenges. Although things were getting better, a lot of people faced challenges. These challenges were there to help people grow.
Lessons were being taught for people to mature and be ready for the long road ahead.
Change will be the theme of this year. Change is a part of life.
The biggest example is Cebu; more competition is rising. Instead of dictating and looking for shortcuts, it is embracing that change head-on and started 2024 with a bang!
Cebu could become the leading example instead of Manila.
We hope in the next few days we can share the changes that are happening.
Stay tuned
