Hey, Poker Playas!
As the local poker scene is getting more competitive new competitors from both inside and outside the Philippines are sprouting here and there. It is getting difficult to grab an already dwindling market share.
Most poker rooms believed that having big guarantees and low buy-in is the key to attracting players. However, due to the low buy-in, poker rooms would have to mess with the structure to ensure more players busting out and rebuying more.
Short term this would work out but in the long run but in the long term players are gambling more.
Thankfully. there is still a tournament available for poker players to be able to polish their skills.

2Ace Poker – Reinventing itself
After the pandemic, Poker tournaments started coming back.
Addressing the elephant in the room. The first tournament of 2Ace Poker which was back then GG Poker Manila was a disaster. the Main complaint was the blinds as the average stack on the final table was 10 big blinds. It was either shoved and get lucky or be blinded out.
Many people complained about the system ranting on Facebook. But change takes time and change did happen.
Slowly they were changing and finally created a tournament that was welcomed by the players.
2Ace Poker – The stacks
The stacks
The first stack was bad. Just being direct to the point. The concept was good but once again the structure was bad. A missed opportunity.
The stacks II
The Stacks II, which was held last month was great!
This time the structure was properly addressed and fixed so that players felt the value of their buy-in.
A well-structured tournament with a very big stack and players applaud such a move by 2Ace Poker.
What’s next?
Another tournament is scheduled this week and it is the third “The Stacks”.
Keeping the things the players loved while it improves the other things that players are demanding.
