June 2023 has ended, and it is now July. This means we have reached half of the year, but the action will keep getting hotter.
As we are resting after covering 3 events nonstop. We would now focus on the other stuff that we did not have time to cover.
That is why we might need to limit our coverage of poker events as we plan to do more stuff in 2023.
There is just so much stuff we have not covered, but we will only limit our coverage and will be back soon in covering events.

Ugly duckling
One of the best things that happen in June that only a few have noticed is how poker rooms slowly revealed their hands.
The PH Poker scene is getting competitive as it not only has to deal with the number of poker rooms sprouting locally. The poker rooms are also slowly enticing PH players to venture outside the county.
With such fierce competition, the response to the growing competition was seen in the month of June. 2 poker room stood out.

In an industry that relies on Big guarantees and low buy-in. What do you do when you don’t want to take a risk on players that might come or not? sell a different asset!
Hospitality!
The south was always known for its hospitality and in Celebration of IVY VP birthday. They did just that!
Voyagers Poker Club hosted multiple parties and everyone was invited to come. and those who did were treated with the VIP treatment in two of the biggest club in Cebu
On the last day of the tournament, players were treated to a buffet. something that can not be seen in Manila.
That is why Voyager is growing, They know how to take care of their players!
We simply can not wait for their next tournament!

The stacks II
2Ace poker made an impact. this time they finally offered a tournament that can be considered very good!
Imagine starting with a 40,000 starting stack, 30 minutes per level. You could even join the event when they close the registration with more than 20 big blinds.
There was no trick in the blinds that suddenly goes massively high after the registration. It had a proper structure.
For only PHP 3,300!
As the times became challenging. Two poker rooms stood out. Unlike other poker rooms where two suddenly came out with a satellite tournament hoping the brand name would be enough.
Or another poker room simply copying the branded ones.
Two poker rooms established their own identity amidst the challenge.
But again, it is still only half of 2023 and maybe there are a few more changes that will happen before the year’s end.
