It is another week, and although for this week there is no tournament scheduled for poker, there are good tournaments scheduled after that and it will be one tournament after another.
but before that happens, let us looks at what else is happening in the other parts of the Phillippines and Asia.

Poker after all has so many variations to the game. Even hold-em is a variation of the original Poker game. then we have Omaha and the latest one is Short Deck.
Variations are made to keep the game more exciting. But will it catch on is always the question.
Squid Game – The rising new variant of texas hold em
A new Variant is sweeping the Asian poker market and it growing bigger.
Just like how short deck came into the market and is now favored by the big players. Squid Hold’em is slowly growing as well.
It has been slowly capturing the interest of both amateurs and professionals alike.
Although, we have not heard it played in the Philippines. We have been hearing a lot from active players outside the country about the squid game.
Especially in the Asian Poker Circuit.
Although currently, it is the big game players that actively play the game. The other players are warming to the idea to make their game on the lower blinds to be more exciting.
The squid adds an extra level of excitement to the game. a captivating twist that players have to navigate in order to survive the squid game.
The concept is simple and can be adapted to the current game.
Each player makes a deposit of a predetermined amount into the squid pot.
The Players then reserve a squid and slowly as the game progress, players could earn or lose their squid, and the players that still have a squid win the squid deposits of all other players.
What basically happens is that players must now navigate more carefully or take risks more calculatingly or risk losing their precious squid deposits.
