We are now shifting our focus on the side events away from as per the request of the organizer and will publish the result tomorrow.
Currently, the side event is at level 7 with 68 entries.
Chierro De Leon of IMBAPLAYS.com is now playing the side events and happily doing so while Ricard Singapan who is also on the same table is trying to find ways to gain some chips.
The side event will close at the end of level 10

Edilberto first came to light during the IPO seven years ago. Out of nowhere suddenly a young blood was on the final event of the IPO.
Next, suddenly he was almost in a lot of final tables.
DUring the lockdown there were stories. of him hitting and winning online tournaments. after the lockdown he was seen at the final table of the APT main event as the chip leader.
Now on the final 18 of the MSE 2023. Can he succeed what he failed to do during the APT>

Lester Edoc is one of the known poker players in the Philippines and is considered one of the top tier players.
Known for playing the high stake games and high-stakes tournaments. He has won Mulitple events both in and out of the country. Coming from the summer capital of the Philippines. he has come a long way from where he started and this event, winning or not will just be on his long list of achievements.

The ever-lovable Maxwell Rosete has been rising to the top since last year after getting Flo as his coach.
His game has vastly improved and ever since then, the Bimby has been accumulating more and more experience.

When WPT first came to the Philippines, not the one in Solaire, but an event that happened more than 20 years ago.
Daddy Rico is one of the final Table.
Yes, Daddy Rico was one of the veterans of the game. Before he became a regular in the Metro. We used to see him often in Malate when it was the golden Age of poker.
Daddy Rico, was winning the big events in Malate when some of the new players right now were still in diapers.
Now part of the final 18. can he win this event and take home the trophy?

We believe that one of Moe’s first big wins was a big event in the Metro Card Club before he went into hiatus.
Currently, it is not available on record. During the pandemic, he was focused online and was winning. a good amount.
But after the pandemic is when he saw the new Moe begin to emerge.
Bagging the APT Championship in May 2022 and then bagging the Main event in November last year.
Koji Mitsuhashi
The Grinder
Koji has been playing poker for a long time. but has been focused more on cash games than tournaments.
Although late last year he confided that he would put more focus on tournaments. He still has been grinding and stretching his limits.
He would try to play cash games as long as he could so he can break his own limit.
Notorious for having a weird range or more so an ever-shifting range. He definitely is unpredictable and one who always looks for a higher goal.
Part of the final 18, could it be this is the big challenge he finally overcome.

The Mysterious darkhorse
the Dark horse of the final 18, he is the most mysterious of all the players on the final 18.
Aside from Similarities with another well-known poker Champion Florencio Campomanes. all we have so far is he plays medium size games and he does have skills.

A regular high stake cash game player and considered one the of top players in the Philippines. He alongside his brother, Euryd is part of the Final 18.

Chuck Peregrino is a casual poker player who is just starting to get back at his feet.
Chuck is a very friendly person and a long-time player but never considered it as a way of life.
Having to reassess his life and choose a new path to take after an incident a few months ago. He no has a chance to take this tournament and help him on his new path.

Daily Tournament winner
A regular player in the Daily tournament of the Metro. A young blood who won his seat and turn it into gold.
Now part of the final 18 players, whatever happens, this kid tried to climb the mountain. the experience he has gain will and the performance he has shown is a window to what the future is in store for this aspiring star.
Euryd Rivera

Although he is coming in 3rd from the last on the chip count. Underestimating him would be a big mistake.
He won a big tournament at the Metro with only 2BB left coming into day 2.
The biggest unbelievable action we saw happen to him in this event is when he won against fellow Metro Team Pro Vamerdino Magsakay with only a Pocket deuce.
Even with a hard bet on the turn, Eurd was not scared and believed he was ahead and took down the pot on the river.
Part of the Rivera Clan, he is definitely one of the most dangerous players on the felt for the final day.

Considered one of the top players right now of the worst generation. He is a real deal, winning a back to back main event propelled him at once to the top.
He has slowly ventured outside Metro and has won a few events. He is a constant deep runner and he is still young.
Joe Mark Vasay AKA Jomak
Super Series Champion
Joemark Vasay is a billiard player that shifted to poker that was part of the massive migration of billiards to poker.
He once in an interview confessed that it was the “Mahal na Hari” Mike Takayama that influenced him to shift to poker.
His biggest win was PHP 720,000 which was when he won the Main event of the Super Series at Okada manila.
