We are now on the last 2 days1’s for this event. so far the entries for day1’s are not that good. today may look promising.

Poker + Life
It was a rainy day in Mandaue, Cebu. The past 3 days of Day1 were a little short. Today Day1 was either you make. It or you break it.
But then VOyage Poker Club was always a little different from the rest.
While other poker rooms focused more on the numbers and their profit margin. Voyager cared more about the experience
We neither claimed it is right nor wrong but the world has changed. unlike other rooms that prefer to promote their ceiling than the player playing. it does give the impression the ceiling is more important.
That is how some Manila operators operate.
Hence. we love Cebu and Davao.
For example, there was a free brunch today. yes, it was simple but it was delicious.
Whether it was your friend playing or whatever, as long as you were part of the group. you can go ahead and eat.
it was set at 10 Am, so plenty of time to enjoy your meal and still go back to your room and prepare for the day ahead.
Such a simple gesture but truly pushing the Hospitality of Cebu.
The tournament went without a hitch. but as soon as the registration was closed and a table opened for cash games. the efficiency of maximizing the limited space was once again displayed by the great staff of Voyager.
As night time came, free food was passed around and the booze started flowing.
Soon enough. the room was full of cash game players. One player even commented that there were more cash game players than tournament players.
Some players were even calling and asking if there was a game ongoing.
The fishes were enjoying the night while the grinder was winning. still a game. because
somehow, some players never want to leave.
Whether you are a VIP or not, you are treated with the great hospitality that Cebu was known for. the players from Manila, Davao, and Cagayan truly enjoyed it.
Most often you are treated just like a friend and going back to play poker was like visiting an old friend’s house where you are always welcome.
It was a camaraderie.
We do plan to lessen our coverage this year. and focus more on other areas. But Cebu and Davao will always be on our top list of events to cover.
Because those events will always be an experience we would cherish.
Seriously, the event we missed recently was nothing but a big pot. the final table lasted less than 2 hours. a cheap thrill.
Like music being played. yeah, it might have. agood beat. but quite simply there was no soul.
A lot of the players that came from Manila went around. swimming with whales and going to beaches. Some may not be staying in fancy hotels, but they might even stay longer just to enjoy the Sinulog Festival.
Sinulog 2023 was always an experience that would be part of your memory that one can cherish forever.

Meanwhile, Jaja Boom, who was the first to arrive in Cebu to play in the tournament has been kept busy. Now he is all focused to win this event.
Meanwhile, Ruzzel Jose is also playing Day 1D.
The young player has been making deep runs in Manila and is trying to test his skills in Cebu
