The Sinulog Festival Poker tournament at Voyager Poker Club will begin tomorrow. it will be the first coverage Pokercast Asia will be doing for 2023.
We definitely will try and cover the event from start to finish. Although we have booked our plane and are ready to go. Thanks to Jakarta travel who made it easy. Hopefully, there are no issues.
As we fix some minor details for our first coverage. We hope to see you there.
Changes
2023 will be the year of changes. which coincides with the year of the rabbit. The year of the rabbit is the year of Karma in some astrological opinions.
Those who worked hard and persevere amidst the challenges will reap the rewards this year.
Those who are stubborn and looked for shortcuts to find easy solutions will find out the hard way that there is no shortcut.
We reap what we sow as they say.
We have to adapt to the changes currently we have to change some sizes as Facebook has changed some of their sizes.
An example although not noticeable are the featured photos of articles. We have noticed some cuts are made from the actual photo size we upload.
More so when people shift to mobile phones.
It was quite funny a few weeks ago, one of the heads of a poke organization wanted us to explain to them what more will we do if we were given a media pass.
For all the years we have covered them. we did actually even give them a sponsor for a party. we have never received a single cent.
They were demanding that we do more. We told them directly why not compare our traffic and we would open our real numbers.
The truth is their website is not mobile-friendly. not even dark mode friendly which is basic as more users are now using mobile set-ups.
However, since we covered 5 events non-stop and he was demanding more freebies. we decided not to pursue the matter.
To us, we could have a few more days rest.
He was narcissistic and was using gaslighting techniques, and him coming from an organization who are so full of Themselves. It was not a path we wanted to take.
Imagine one of his former colleagues is proudly posting photos of the ceiling to promote a tournament. well, that pretty much sums it up.
“ano ba talaga binebenta nyo. yung ceiling o young tournament?”
2023 is a new year. we choose our own paths, individuals have their own goals.
We love forward and aim for those goals.
