The Philippines has a strong team this year and this could be the year. A much stronger team than in the past and here is the reason.

A team with more experience

Yes, there have been a lot of Filipinos that went to Las Vegas and played the WSOP. although they came in as a group. it was not a group that was really close to each other.

After all, poker is a solo game and not a team sport.

So individuals have to shine on their own.

For the past year, the individuals who are in Vegas right now have been training to be better poker players.

Currently, the players who are there are.

Marc Rivera is one of the most respected Filipino poker players and won big in PSPC.

Lester Edoc is well known to have won multiple poker events all over Asia and listing his winnings will take a lot of space.

Nick Filart, a well-known regular high stake player who was at the final table of Last year RVS Cup.

And then there is Mike Takayama, The first homegrown Filipino to ever win a WSOP bracelet.

They are now in WSOP to try and win a bracelet.

It is not an easy road

Winning a bracelet is not the easiest thing to do, after all, you are competing with the best in the world.

Champions of champions are there, all hoping to win the much-coveted bracelet.

Over the years, some of the players that have played in it would tell you how they would just collapse from the sheer pressure of it.

Day after day, you have to be at your top form, going in putting your A-game, and try not to make any mistakes. and if you do, you have to quickly move on and try to gain it back.

This is not the daily tournament where the blinds are fast. this is not the bingo game being held at the poker room in the Pink casino.

This is to prove you are one of the best of the best. This is the ultimate championship.
