Hey, Poker players!
The world is changing, slowly it is. although people could not see it yet. But really look around and feel what is happening.
We have been looking for the right time to write this article, but never found it until now.
Because of an incident that happened quite recently made us realize. hey, it’s the time!
So what happened?
The Incident
Well, it is not really an incident but more on incidences hence we wanted to write it.
Maxwell Philippe Rosete won in the recently concluded PPT, one player commented how he was just lucky as he was short stack on Day 1D.
Why are people so negative? Do they even know Maxwell Philippe Rosete?
Maxwell Philippe Rosete
Maxwell Philippe Rosete was an ordinary player back then. He loved poker and was playing for fun.
He was better off so he was able to buy action from some players. and as luck would have it. one share paid off and he earn quite a good some of the money.
But this is where things went different. Instead of using it to play. He actually invested it to get himself a poker coach.
He knew his game was lacking. He knew he needed to know more.
We did an interview with him a year ago where he actually shared a lot more information about that decision.

Fast forward to 2022
A year after the interview, Maxwell played Metro Card Club Day 1D. Yes, he did get hit hard early on but do not attribute his championship to just luck.
He actually did not have the best of luck on Day1D. He could have ended up as chip leader that day when he reraises preflop a hand with his pocket Jacks against an under the gun raise and was flat called.
When the flop came out dry and when he bet on the flop that was a 10 high dry board. His opponent shoved with Ace queen which he called only to by an ace on the turn.
He was not lucky on Day 1D, but he persevered. and on Day 2, he had a good stack and began to hit the right spots. outplayed his opponents and slowly grind his way to the top.

When you have a nickname like Bimby. it really does tell you a lot about the guy as well.
Bimby is also one of the nicest players we have met on the felt. truth is that everybody loves teasing him. A lot of people love him because he is such a nice guy.
Yes, he is kinda a little bit of a pushover if people were to see him. He really just has that very friendly nature. (Although he is definitely a beast on the table).
He is really a great person. a rarity in the new world now (more on that soon).
As the world changes and new stars are finally rising. It will be a world where players that have the right fundamentals that will rise to the top.
Bimby will be a great star someday. Yes, he has won a good event. but nope, that. is not where it ends. It is only just beginning.
