Day 1D has ended today for the Metro Summer event and it did great. A total of 533 entries pushed the prize pool to PHP 2,665,000 and broke the guarantee.
Another amazing thing that happened is that Day1A chip leader John Matsuda remained the chip leader.
Like the preview Metro Event where Lester Edoc was the chip leader for day1A that remained unbroken. The same thing happened in the Metro summer event.

John Matsuda hails from Cebu and has also a Japanese lineage. He is fresh from his win in the recent Okada special tournament. An aggressive player who is not afraid to battle it out with the pros.

A good balance player during day 1D, a crucial move propelled him on top. In a hand against Kenzo Mendoza. both have a big stack, His aces held against Kenzo queens.

Fresh from conquering APT Vietnam where he won a back to back to back in the side events and bagging the players of the series.
Vam is a top contender to win this event. He has the experience and skills to win it. but will he?

The big time! Christoper Mateo is a good player. Yes, he has a wild streak but he is a champion.
He bagged an APT main event a few years back and his unorthodox playstyle suites him well. With a good stack, he could probably win the event.

William Ysmael – 254,400 – table 23 seat 3
A seasoned pro and part of the Metro team pro-family. William has played and won so many events that bagging this event could be his new start for this year.
After qualifying in the Metro, he bagged another event at Okada Manila. Will he bring the home event for his home team?

The second runner-up in the last Metro event. This does put him at an advantage as he already knows how the game could end up.

After many month of training in Pampanga and local tours. Yatz qualified for day with a good stack.
