The second quarter has begun and Tournaments are just right around the corner.
Things are shaping up and the first biggest tournament will be held in a matter of days.
Here is a quick rundown in case you missed it.
The Metro Summer Event!
The first big tour of the second quarter of 2022 will be at the Metro Card Club.
The Metro Summer Event will feature a PHP 1.5 Million Guarantee with a buy-in of PHP 5,500.
It will have 3 days 1’s and promises to have a great structure run by the good team of Metro. It is also the first full live tournament that exceeded a 1 million guarantee.

The APT @ Resort World Manila
The first big tournament in Manila is set to happen on April 29, 2022.
The Asian Poker Tour is set to hold an event at Resort World Manila Grand Wing that begins on April 27, 2022. Right after the Metro Card Club – Metro summer event.
Live Poker tournaments are really coming back to Manila.
Team PH making their presence felt at APT Vietnam
The Asian Poker tour is currently being held in Vietnam. Two Filipinos successfully entered the final table but one took it home.
The Buy-in for this event was VN₫ 55,000,000 (US$ 2,400) and had a total of 37 Entries(29 unique, 8 re-entries), the Prize pool reached VN₫ 1,794,490,000 (~US$ 78,500) and had only ITM: 7 places
Metro Team pro and Action PH ambassador Vamerdino Magsakay was able to reach the final table but did not reach the money.
It was Florencio Campomanes who was able to take it home and won VN₫ 513,060,000 (~US$ 22,400).
Campomanes and Wenxuan opted to take VN₫ 500,000,000 each then play for VN₫ 13,060,000 and the trophy.
The Mortal Machines will rise!
There will be a lot more big tournaments coming to Manila in the weeks to follow.
The pros are definitely making sure they are ready for the next wave of tournaments and they want to make sure to take it home.
