We may not have heard much of Dave Spade winning an event lately, but sometimes it is those that are unseen that do make an impact.
Dave Spade is probably one of those people who is yet to reveal his cards.
Recent activities
Dave Spade is one of the leaders in the industry. yes, he was active in joining tournaments. But those who have played with him know that the way this guy plays is to take no prisoner attitude.
Either go in big and don’t go at all.
He had many deep runs this year and he did secure a trophy last year including winning some online events.
But his live performance is not hitting the mark. Yes, he is a force to be reckoned with when you are with him on the table. Give him a small weakness and he would start pounding on it until he get his opponent chips.
Lady luck may not be smiling on him recently. but sooner or later he would bag another event.
With April and May already having a full schedule. it is only a matter of time until he bags one event.
But it does not mean he is sleeping either.
The man behind the scene
Dave Spade is quite active behind the scene. leading ActionPH a poker group that helps players both old and new with funding and advice. he has been funding ActionPh with his own money and it is growing.
He is silently leading people to aspire for higher dreams and it has been working.
Last we heard there are veteran players that have now joined ActionPH and the next event could become a show of force.
Two of ActionPH have made big impact on the first quarter and would likely make more impact down the road.
With tournaments on a break until April 20, 2022. it is only a matter of time until we hear some big noises coming from him.
Giving others opportunites
Early this year we also hear he helped bridge an online company to out of luck poker players to have a stable income source.
Players who are more online and are willing to learn were given an opportunity to work for a company to grind from the safety of their homes.
Although he was only a bridge. it was a big help to the industry as some players were able to get back to their feet.
We heard he might make some great moves next quarter but that is the type of man he truly is.
Live tournaments and the online tournament is not the only thing he does. he streams and supports people.
Like the bowery king in John Wick. Those upstairs may rule the high world. but there is a whole different world underground.
it is only a matter of time before Dave Spade re-emerges with something that could create an impact in the poker world.
