Asian Poker Tour Event schedule

Hey, poker playas!

As one tournament ends, another one will begin soon. The question is will the next tournament be able to capitalize and fill the void that players are looking for?

There will be changes in the APT to face the new normal. Will they come out on top?

It is definitely going to be an exciting week!

The APT RWM Mystery Bounty weekend

The APT has added a new twist to the game. So far the rules and mechanics are easy to understand.

Mystery Bounty

  • Bounties are introduced to all events once players have reached ITM (in the money)
  • The value of a bounty is based on each prize that is awarded from the prize pool (See payout sheet for how bounties are created and sample payout)
  • Bounties are redeemed through a random drawing made by the player upon elimination or becoming Champion of the event

Unanswered questions and then some

There is a lot of buzz happening around especially when the topic is the APT even during the last event. The APT is known to have a good structure. Everyone knows that.

But it has been two years since the last APT. Will the structure change?

Hopefully, we get the answer soon.

Another remaining question is will day 1 play like the one the other organizers are pushing? only the top 8-15%. Will APT go this route? Will they stay to play down to a certain level?

A realistic point of view

Almost 2 years have passed since the beginning of the lockdowns. Things have changed, let us admit that. As this would be the first APT in the Philippines after so long. things could have changed.

Until we get an official answer, we would leave it to faith.

Note: so far there have been only 2 live poker events in 2022 that insist to play down to x percent.

Having faith in the APT

Giving credit where credit is due. the core APT team is still there. They helped started the brand and let us admit that when people discussed the APT. they are known to have the best structure for tournaments.

Unlike the other organizer that inherited the brand. they would turn all side events into flop jackpot poker and charge players a lot for it and would insist that this is what players want if they had their way.

The APT Mystery weekend bounty tournament could be the first real poker tournament of 2022. APT could also shine bright by giving value to the host casino.

As a new normal pushes through, we wonder which poker room will shine bright pushing forward the growth of the local poker industry.

But definitely, the APT RWM is a must-attend poker event for all poker players who one day wish to become real poker pros.

Stay tuned poker playas!
