January 2022
Okada Manila Millions
There was only one event that was held in January 2022 in Manila. As luck would have it. Jose Colada, the winner of the last Okada Manila Millions, also won the 2nd Okada Manila million. Making him the back-to-back champion of the Okada Manila Millions.
It was the first tournament of 2022 and was not easy to pull it off. There were uncertainties if the event would push through. but in the end, the event did push.
Mike Takayama and Florencio Campomanes also made their presence felt.
Mike Takayama was almost every day on the final table during the Okada Manila Million. He just came back from the states and proved he is really one of the best Filipino poker players out there.
Meanwhile, Flo also bagged as a side event.

Metro Manila went into alert level 3
Metro Manila due to the increasing number of infected people went into alert level 3 once again. This time tho the approach was different. Only vac players were allowed to go out and even casinos implemented a vac player allowed only policy.
Tournaments were put on hold for now. but now that is over.
February 2022
Metro Manila back to alert level 2
2 organizers have released their schedules for upcoming events. Foreigners and tourists are now allowed to travel to Manila.
Okada’s Manila Superseries will be held from February 20 to 27,2022.
Meanwhile. in March APT is bringing the Weekend bounty to Resort World Manila.
Reports are already in that poker rooms and organizers are trying to get their tournaments approved.
So it’s time to move forward players.
Of course, it is still a few weeks away till the tournament comes back, so we would continue featuring some more players.
Hugot 2022 is back.
We have a few more players that we would feature on the blacklist.
It will be an exciting February.
