The word of the week – silence

Poker room operators are like politicians nowadays. When do you really hear from your politicians? when there is an election coming up.

The same is true with most poker operators. You only get to hear from them if ever there is an event. that how they usually go.

Now that one event is over, everything is now silent once again. it is sad really that momentum is catching up. but then it goes flat.

Okada Manila Millions – Underwhelming

Yes, they did not overlay. which is great! but let us be honest that most people came to the room expecting something better.

There were a lot of misses. instead of becoming a leader that would have pushed things forward. What happened was there was a lot of uncertainty that was in the air that was never cleared.

Many people were wondering if the event would push through. Even on the event day itself, there was no “Hey, guys we are pushing with the event”. There was just a reposting of the schedule.

The organizers could have also used the time to promote the health and safety protocols of Okada Manila. it was the best time to push it. It was to help reassure the players! but no.

Okada Manila did promote on their official Facebook page the 3T and even beefed up its health protocols not allowing unvaccinated people from coming into the casino. A very great move by Okada Manila.

Rest assured players that we would be writing about the new safety protocols of Okada Manila soon.

Okada Manila still maintains a high standard with regard to the health and safety protocols for the players.

APT Mystery bounty weekend – Moved?

A lot of players were excited to hear the news that APT will have a tournament this January. People were excited.

But today, the APT official Facebook page has now changed the date of the event. As it was the official Facebook page of the APT. We do see it as a sign that the event has been moved.

Although it was moved. many players are still excited. it may be the first real poker tournament in Manila for 2022. 

Metro Card Club – they are doing it better.

Poker houses and poker rooms are of course different in nature. as a poker room is inside a casino and by default inherits the health and safety protocols of the casino.

As the poker houses have responsibility for their own place. They try to update their page as much as possible and they announced they would have a general cleaning last January 5, It is great that Metro Card club took time to close their room just so as to have a general cleaning once again.

Although after the general cleaning we have not heard a word from their pages. Maybe it is time for another visit to check their health and safety measures once again.

The real big winners – PP Poker and Xpoker

In a time where a lot of people are being isolated. Information is important. and because of that, the online poker scene was buzzing all week.

Most of the players were talking about the big tournament online of PP poker. while for X-poker win by Joel “woody” Jeremias also was the talk of the town.

Congrats Woody.

Yes, online poker is a good alternative for poker players. but there are people who love online more.

Soon we would resume the players to watch out for 2022.

Yes, we remained positive as the world is changing.

New leaders will come out. There is always a better way. Although we are not yet free to share some news. but it is great that new leaders are coming out and helping the small players towards the future.
