Okada Manila Millions – Day 3
Publish date: January 6, 2022

Hey, poker playas!

It is now day 3 of the Okada Manila Millions! and this time it is the newcomers that made it deep!

Newcomers as it is the first and second trophy.

Another newcomer is also slowly also inching closer to the top.

Event 6 – 2,500 PLO Knockout

Last year, Raphael Bulaong made a very impressive performance against some of the great Filipino poker talents on the RVS Cup held at the Metro Card Club.

The final four battles lasted for more than 4 hours and no one wanted to give an inch to any of their opponents. but sadly Raphael only finished 4th

His performance left a good impression that we have recently featured him as one of the players to watch out for in 2022. He did not fail to disappoint!

Raphael Bulaong bagged his first-ever trophy and won the Omaha event.

The final table experience in the RVS Cup proved to be useful as his game has improved. He was calmer and more calculative this time around.

It was not an easy feat as the final table was star-studded which includes some of the big Omaha cash game players in Manila.

Jason Ambata was also present on the final table making it his third time hitting it this week.

But there was another person who is making quite a performance this week which we would right later on.

Event 7 – PHP 10,000 NLH turbo

The late side event did not attract many players but it did push through and it was a fun table to watch and we may have another future star in the mix.

Edgar may not be well known in the tournament circle as he has only one trophy in his known recorded event. (Superstack event 3 2020)

Over the years of covering multiple events. We believe one of the best skills is the ability to see through your opponent. to take advantage of other players’ weaknesses and use them to your advantage.

Poker is not just about cards but also about strategies. You do not have to have the best hand but you can make your opponents think you do.

Edgar played the event beautifully as proven he was willing to take the hit and gain it back if he loses.

A future poker superstar in the making. We hope to see him hit bigger wins soon!

Hazel (Lester) Timonera – the bunny that closing in on the gap.

This is now the second time we have written about Hazel Timonera and there is a reason we do so.

Hazel has hit FT on two events but only lost the flips and bubbling the ITM.

She has shown great improvement this week.

Maybe she would hit a good one this week. With her perseverance and determination. it could happen.

Stay tuned.

Main event day 1C

Another batch of players qualified for day 2 of the Okada Manila Millions main event which includes Ceasar Corpuz and might be the current chip leader for day1 having more than 300k chips.

A regular tournament grinder. Winning this event would be a great starting point for his career in 2022.

Maybe she would hit a good one this week. With her perseverance and determination. it could happen.

Eman Segismundo, day 2 bubble boy finally qualified day 2(day 1b) of the main event.

Stay safe poker playas!
