The beginning of 2022 has already put doubts in the mind of people due to Duterte announcing late that Manila will revert back to Alert Level 3 and simply let the people deal with it.
Most government agencies are closed for the New year holiday and the week end which really gave a hard time for clarrification.
Should you be worried?
Let us admit if we look at the past as reference. there is really not much to look forward to. Remember how a tournament day 1 was cut short to accommodate the lockdown.
Then the long silence, Even as you bug them in their own local channel. responses were like a gift from God. Pretty much a miracle.
When they did, it was to announce they are open and they expect people to just accept it.
and it was a cycle and another cycle is looming… maybe not.
2022 is the year of change!
2022 will be a great year, and we must remain optimistic about it.
The national election will be held this year giving the people a chance to find a real leader.
Even in the poker industry, poker leaders have been coordinating with us to announce their situation in the rooms. Sharing with us the necessary steps they are undertaking to ensure the safety of the players.
Although some feel like they are still Gods and want to be worshiped. It gives a feeling like you need to beg for the information. Players deserve the right information. They need not beg for it.
Rest assured there are people working for the best interest of the players.
This is not the first tango with the lockdown. People have grown to adapt to it and to make sure people’s safety is a priority.
We hope to release the responses of the rooms as soon as possible in order to assist the players with their needs.
But keep faith that change is happening. but to play safe make sure you wear your facemask.
