Continuing to avoid writing anything negative. we would only mention the top 2. We are not rating rooms based on their safety measures but only praising the effort put into place by the rooms. 

So if there was who would rank first?

Metro Card Club

The Metro would rank first. That is because they have done things in a way that really shows true effort.

Our recent visit even proves that even till now they still push it even if it is a bit inconvenient to the players. but let us break it down. 

First the basics

Most poker rooms still follow to a certain degree the basic guidelines and recommendations. Not to say that other rooms have not implemented any measures. 

But Metro did go out of its way to push it. so we would focus more on those where Metro Card clubs excelled. 

Alcohol dispenser? they installed a sink!

Most poker rooms have an alcohol dispenser that players are recommended to use before they enter the room. We say recommended because nowadays it is not strictly enforced.

However, Metro Card Club installed a sink where you must wash your hand before you enter. Complete with automatic faucet so you do not have to touch the valve and soap dispenser.

Even on our last visit, the security was very insistent that we used the sink first. 

Plus the alcohol dispenser is also available on the temperature detector. And the temperature detector is not the handheld one of the cheapest in the market either.

They really did put a good effort in it.

Bags and chips are UV treated. 

How clean are the chips? although we expect that poker rooms in casinos do this. poker houses or poker rooms outside the casinos have become lax with this thing.

However, Metro Card Club still pushed this.

The other simple things that Metro Card Club did. 

Chairs are clean all the time

When a player sits, chairs are wiped clean!

If players bust out and a new player will sit in? clean again!

While carefully observing them, they were very meticulous on this sort of thing which we were definitely impressed.

They actually ask the player to wait so they can wipe it clean. 

Looking for alcohol? each gets a small spray!

Most poker rooms just put a big alcohol dispenser in the room. some would put in every corner. 

But normally for a table. it would be either beside the dealer or behind the dealer. But it is still common alcohol.

It was fun to watch as a new table opened and the dealer brought a number of small alcohol dispensers for each player. 

So they did not just put the alcohol on the table. They bring it out to make sure each bottle was filled.

Transparent barriers too anoying? Redesigned!

Most poker rooms have transparent barriers between players and also in front to cover the dealer. But at the same time. most players will end up having two barriers in front of them if they were to look at their opponent.

That is because when poker rooms call the barrier makers to install the barrier. they just leave it to the installer. 

But Metro Card Club actually redesign the whole thing. The design put one middle barrier for everyone protecting the dealer and players and yet gave enough room to wiggle around. We have only seen the design in Metro Card Club. Yeah, we could have taken the photo but as it was transparent anyway. It would be better to see it for yourself. 

The design allows a more clear view of the pot and hand as well. 

The V-Mandate is insisted In Metro Card club. 

We are avoiding mentioning that word as it would trigger the Facebook warning. They are the only poker room that implemented it and still insist till today. or you get a PCR- test.

We do wish that PAGCOR realizes that in reality, the two poker rooms that have such mandate are actually promoting people to get the V!

Of course, only Metro Card Club is the only one that insisted it enter their premises. 

Cutting it short. 

There might have been things we have missed. but it might take too much space and we wanted to write about number 2 briefly. But definitely, Metro leads in safety measures. 

Pokerstars – number 2 in safety!

Pokerstars would definitely rank 2 in this part. The reason for this is that they are inside the casino and Safety measures are already in place.

What they pushed forward was to hold a full live tournament and was very attentive to this matter. 

V cards were insisted if you wanted to join the tournament. they promoted social distancing. If crowds could not be handled they were quick to call the security for assistance. 

Okay, no more mention of other rooms.
