Dave Spade is one of the top 10 players of the Philippines. although the best to describe him is the consistency in his winnings. He had cashed a lot of tournaments over the years and had a fair collection of trophies. Even online tournaments are not exceptions as he had also cashed in some of the big online tournaments. 

He was vacationing when the call of the felt whispered in his ears and flew into Manila just to play. Although he did not fare well on the main event. He bagged a side event just for kicks. He was even against Lester Edoc on the heads-up for the championship.

You have been involved in a lot of things lately. Can you tell us more?

I am a yes man! I just could not say no sa mga opportunity na dumadating and lagi positive mental attitude tayo. pero bago ko naman pinpasok isang bagay inaaral ko muna. before, it was just Straight Poker for me. Then nagkaroon online poker apps, sportsbook, online casino, esports, crypto and nft games. lately involve naman ako sa VIP cash game tables sa new poker room somewhere in malate. kaya ang wish ko lang ngayon pasko gawin 36hrs na ang isang araw para magawa ko lahat ng to hahaha

Before the special tournament you went to Boracay then suddenly flew back in, what made you decide to suddenly come back and play the special tournament

actually boracay was booked before the PS live tourney was announced kaya nagkasabay sya pero if ttimbangin ko if ano mas gusto ko gawin syempre mag tournament prin. tamad kasi ako mag travel and may bad experience ako sa boracay last yr so mas excited ako mag laro ulit ng live after almost 2 years.

It has been a long while since Phil had a tournament again. How did it feel like? Did you feel anything changed?

Yes defintely, there are players who improved their game during pandemic and there are new faces din. Personally, tingin ko it is always good for the community na lumalaki sya kasi anjan ang hanap buhay naten.

You were not successful in your main event run maybe due to the limit to how many times you can re-enter. Did you regret flying back to manila because of that?

have no regrets kasi nakapag party naman na kme sa bora and naka mind set na ako if ma bust ako early mag laro ako side event then if mabust ng early sa side event babalik ako bora that night din. Kaso ng naglalaro na ako may feeling ako na parang mananalo talaga ng umpisa palang. marme ako hands na nag suckout ako prang destiny hahaha

In the side event where you became champion. You went heads up with Lester Edoc, Did you feel his game had changed?

to be honest d ko sya masasagot if meron o wala, kasi unang una turbo yung format so 1 miss u die talga ang tira. pangalawa ang tamang tanong cguro if nag improve ako o hindi kasi si lester given na yun na magaling talaga. tingin ko nag improve nmn ako

Do you expect any changes will to the industry now that tournaments are coming back?

think so, in a good way may mga magbabago. kelangan lang nten ng tamang support para palakasin ang industry. number dun is maconsider ang poker tournaments as sports. nangyari nga sa esports e sa poker pa kaya.

Do you like online or live better?

I would say i like live slighty better than online, cguro 55% live over 45% online. Kasi parang mas feel mo manalo sa live kasi marame jugging haha

So what next for Dave Spade?

Try ko maging involve more sa cash game tables kasi may goal ako next year. Mag grind ng pang pakasal para asawa na lang ang hahanapin ko. uWu
