Publish date: December 7, 2021

Hey, poker playas!

Jason “Estong” Ambata recently finished 4th place of the Main Event of the Pokerstars Special tournament in Okada Manila.

It has been quite a long time before any live tournaments were held in Manila. but even with the long absence of live tournament. Jason still has what it takes to play on the felt.

Coffee cups and some Q’s

It has been a long time since there was any live poker event. did it feel great to play again?

It feels great its like a reunion of passionate poker players here in the phils. Na kahit may banta pa rin ng covid nagpuntahan pa rin for the of the game sabi nga ni dave spade.masaya sana mag tuloy tuloy.

You came in day 2 with lower than the average stack, where you scared or did you felt you could make it to the final table?

Day 2 I came in with lower than average pero di nmn nababawasan yung kagustuhan natin manalo at maniwala na kaya natin makaabot sa final table.

What was the turning point for you in the game?

Turning point. Siguro nung ma double up ako bago mabreak yung 1st table ko sa day2. Folded action big blind ako with A7off vs sb Q9s. Raise yung small blind tapos shove ako with 11bb. Nag call yung SB. Board blank Ahigh hold.

You have been playing online tournaments, do you like live or online better?

Toughest opponent on day 2?

Toughest opponent on the field. Its always been Lester Edoc. True Champion and one of the most consistent.

Toughest opponent on final table?

Toughest opponent of final table. Lester Edoc yun

Any inspiration to win?

Inspiration.its always been my dream to become a Champion and to play with my idols on the table to watch them and learn from them.

How did you felt entering the final table again?

Its been years simula nagkapag laro ulet ng live tourney .

Any message to the readers?

Enjoy every hand and keep your passion burning.
