Lost battles and new hope

Hey, poker playas!

It’s been a long week. notable was the WSOP main event is currently ongoing. the most prestigious poker tournament in the world.

There are a few Filipinos that went to Las Vegas to play the WSOP. as it is a long list. we might have missed a name or two.

Here are the updates

WSOP Main Event and the Filipino contingent

This year there are quite a number of Filipino that traveled to the United States in order to play the WSOP. 

Some of the more well-known players include Marc Rivera, Mike Takayama, Lester Edoc, and Jojo Tech. 

The WSOP Main event is still ongoing, it is now on day 3 and hopefully, we have not missed anybody. There are still 2362 players returning for day 3. As we tried our best to check and recheck the list. The only PH flag we saw was one and the player’s name is Jerwin Pasco.

WSOP Main Event no guarantee and high buy-in  

It is funny that a lot of people would say that high guarantees and low buy-in are the keys to building a great tournament.

Yet WSOP still remained the same and the number of players that joined this year (6,000+) is far bigger than any tournament in Asia.

 

The Resort world Bad beat jackpot has now been hit twice

For a long time, the bad beat jackpot of Resort World poker room stood against the pandemic, but then suddenly it was hit twice.

The first bad beat jackpot had 10 Million in its pot. Taken by the lower games of 50-100, Making the people on the table quite happy.

WIth the reserve still build up. it was still a good amount at 4 million PHP. but it was hit again.

Report are now saying that its down to 1Million plus. Removing the big advantage of the poker room and the playing field is now even.

Other rooms are now active in action

With the field now even. players are shifting to other poker rooms. 

With a new poker room opening soon. the action will definitely start shifting here and there. 

Although there is a lot of disappointment this week. there are still good things coming this month.
