Metro Manila poker is growing

Hey, poker playas!

How are you? finally, things are moving more and more. Although the actions tend to be weird from time to time.

But this is a new normal that people have got to use too.

It is great that things are changing. but what are the changes? here we go.

Vampires are now alive.

It is actually quite funny that because Halloween near that it seems poker players have become vampires.

Actions on poker rooms have been slowly shifting to evening. Poker rooms are struggling to keep tables running in afternoons but bigger actions seem to pick up in the evening.

Resort World Manila

We have not released an article on the current update on Resort world Manila because it can be actually summed up in one word.

Waiting.

Due to the big bad beat jackpot that Resort world poker room currently has, everything has become a waiting game.

Let us say you come to the room later afternoon. Do not expect to be seated fast. The list is actually quite long most of the time that you could probably watch a movie and come back and still be on the waiting list.

As this is not a management problem. it is because players create the movement. With such a huge bad beat jackpot which is around 8.7 million PHP. table share alone could be around 500k. It is difficult not to wait for it to happen.

Now, you have players who are willing to spend money and rebuy just so they won’t give up their seats.

But is the action that great?

Nope, it’s back to waiting. There are players of course who are hoping to hit the bad beat jackpot and are killing the action on the table.

Now take into account that the minimum blinds in Resort world are 50-100 PHP.

Hence, action has somewhat shifted to Pokerstars Live Manila and other poker rooms.

It is a question on are you one of the people who are looking to get a share of a bad beat jackpot that might not happen soon or are you going to a poker room to play poker.

Phil Helmuth wins 16th WSOP bracelet

After four final tables and a lot of frustration at the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP)Phil Hellmuth finally won his record-extending bracelet No. 16 in Event #31: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw. The win marks the sixteenth WSOP title for Hellmuth, whose incredible WSOP career includes 157 cashes and a breakout victory in the 1989 Main Event that made him the youngest champion in history at the time.

It was a long journey for Hellmuth but journeys are after all fun.

The win represents a breakthrough in the frustration that has followed Hellmuth in his pursuit of a 16th bracelet. He has reached seven final tables since his last win in 2018, four of which have come at the 2021 WSOP in $25,000 H.O.R.S.E.(6th), $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better (5th), and the $10,000 Seven Card Stud event (fourth).

Its time to aim higher!

Metro Manila is slowly buzzing with action. Although tournaments are not available yet. soon tho things will get buzzing and it’s better to be on the front than the back.

Stay safe poker playas!
