Poker night guide

Hey, poker playas!

So we did receive a few messages asking us why we did not put Pokerstars Live in Okada Manila as the weekend poker night hangout. actually, the answer is simple.

When you say weekend. it usually the time to be more relax.

Poker in PokerStars Live is war.

Poker is war

The current change has nothing actually to do with the management but with the players. There are sharks in the room and any small mistake is the smell of blood.

The other day we heard a player complain wherein a normal 25-50 game. Where the raise is normally around 100-150 PHP. A player raises it to 200. Normally it is considered as a big raise in a 25-50 game. but the exact opposite happens.

He was dumbfounded by a player who called him with connectors offsuit.

but that is PokerStars for you. players are now out for blood. They see a weak player. it would definitely be gobbled.

Why such change

This is more player behavior than management. The question is why did the players change?

The closest answer would probably be due to what is happening at resort world. With a huge jackpot and a higher blind level. The majority of players at Resort world are as tight as a rock. They are waiting for someone to hit the jackpot and hopefully be part of the table share.

The higher blind and the big jackpot actually is contributing more to action being killed in the table. Hence players are now jumping to Pokerstars live Manila to get real poker action.

We believe it was Saturday night when the bad beat jackpot was once again hit.

The truth is that any hand could hit the jackpot.  but since there is more action on Pokerstars live Manila. The chance of hitting the bad beat is actually higher.

Online poker is still pushing forward.

most poker players might take a while before they re-enter the live scene. that is because online definitely gives more options to players.

Live rooms are still operating like they did pre-pandemic. the competition has changed.

Although players are coming back. it is still yet to be seen whether they can get the same crowd as they use to before

There is also the question of when will they allow live tournaments to come back.

Although cinemas are not allowed to open. maybe tournaments are on the way.

Stay safe poker playas!
