The shift? – part 3
Publish date: September 12, 2021

Hey, poker playas!

Axie is definitely hot right now. Although a lot of poker players have shifted to Axie. but a lot of players also shifted to X-Poker.

A new App that is big on offering. from matching club level of your former club free to cheap chips and diamonds.

How is it so far?

Let us take a look.

Poker apps – how it invaded the poker world.

Before poker apps suddenly started appearing, Poker sites were the ones that run the show. From operating tables, Deposits and withdrawals from players, and even tournaments, It was all managed by the poker sites.

Poker apps basically allowed players to operate their own club and earn from it. A poker app is like where you rent the table and dealers of a poker room for a certain fee while the rest goes to the organizers.

There could have been apps that started first but one app took the lion’s share at the start.

PP poker – the app that took the poker world by storm

If there was an app that made this new system known. Definitely, it is PP Poker.

It was everywhere. It got to a point that Live poker rooms wanted to ban players from using this app inside the poker room.

But it was a storm that simply could not be stopped.

Even at the start of the pandemic, it grew hotter. Live poker players who could not play live anymore as all gaming establishments were close started shifting to PP.

Yes, there were those who tried to penetrate the market. But unless you could match what PP poker was doing. it would be difficult.

X-poker – the app that took the challenge.

X-poker suddenly came in. pirating the key people and offering massive offers. They came out with guns blazing and are showing they have the ammo to push it.

If you have a club on another app they will match it. they also sell cheaper diamonds and chips. They went all out.

Although PP poker remained strong. but yes x-poker is slowly getting more and more of the market share.

Friendster vs Facebook

Before Facebook. there was Friendster. There was also myspace. but Friendster was the one that really hit the market.

Friendster was big but as time pass by, Slowly people migrated to Facebook more and more. in the end, Friendster had to pack up and is now a different site than it use to be.

What is happening now is nothing but the same thing that has happened in the past. A new thing coming in and challenging the old.

Looking forward

We are not in any way claiming that PP poker will die. The future is still unknown. but we have to admit that X-poker is really grabbing market share. Axie is also grabbing market shares.

The truth is established brands are still doing great.

WSOP will be held this year which even put on a controversial rule of no-vaccine-no play policy that has earned the irked of some people.

But people will still play.

Pokerstars is still doing great even when it keeps lowering their star bonus system even further.

But there are companies that was simply too arrogant that and it did not listen and learn from their people.

Sometimes, there are things that can be done to make your tournament better instead of the guarantee and the buy-in that can be good for the market. but it still will be stuck in its way.

Who knows what will really be next? time will tell.

Stay safe poker playas!
