The Rundown – September 6, 2021
Publish date: September 6, 2021

Hey, poker playas!

How are you? Times may be tough for a lot of us but we have to keep moving forward.

There are a lot of good news last week and going to the next week,

Here is a quick rundown.

Metro Manila shift to GCQ with granular lockdowns.

The national pandemic task force has approved a recommendation to place Metro Manila under general community quarantine (GCQ) from September 8 to 30, announced Malacañang on Monday, September 6.

This implementation of GCQ, however, will be different from before. It will involve a new system of localized lockdowns, said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Granular lockdowns

granular lockdowns could be declared by mayors or governors and could be limited to as small a unit as a street or barangay, rather than an entire city or province.

Cities would also have more flexibility to allow most industries to remain open, with changes in allowed venue capacity limited to the types of establishments that are riskiest – gyms, spas, venues for meetings or conferences, religious venues, restaurants, and the like.

One 500k done, another 500k free entry on the horizon.

Although it is promoted as a freeroll. it would be more classified as a free-entry tournament.

You can rebuy at 150. as for the add-on. the poster only places it as yes.

They still have 5 million GTD coming up soon.

USOP Main event is near

USOP main event is happening soon. It begins next week September 13, 2021.

It is a 200k USD GTD to 10 Million PHP GTD for only 110 USD.

For players who are interested to join. We would gladly help you get into a good club.  Definitely, this is an event we would like to help players join.

Stay tuned!

Will poker rooms finally re-open?

Right now, the daily positive count for the virus is high. so the question on everyone’s mind is will poker rooms be allowed to re-open?

Normally. In the last few months, poker rooms were allowed to re-open during GCQ. so most probably it will be allowed soon or maybe it is already open.

We do believe that one poker room that has always been silent but has the biggest bad beat jackpot currently could re-open faster than anyone else.

However, We would like to caution people that please wear masks and faceshield. there is a new and more infectious variant that is already in Metro Manila.

Safety precautions were eased before the lockdown that tables without transparent barriers were already available in that room. the lure of the big bad beat jackpot due to these challenging times is too big to ignore for some.

Although we hope new safety measures will be in place. Pokerstars Manila is probably the best and safest alternative for poker players as it has transparent barriers both on the side and in front.

However, we hope new safety measures will be in place as your health must remain a priority.

Keep safe poker playas!
