Hey, poker playas!
Lately, we have been making a few changes here and there. that is due that things in the world are changing.
As the world change, we too must change.
There have been many posts that write about our team experiences and we are more personal than we have done before. that is because the world is forcing those changes.
Live events
A lot of our old content was live events coverages. but let us be realistic. Live events returning soon may take longer.
Some would comment I heard a rumor or from a reliable source. We too wish live events to come back as soon as possible.
But here is a realistic point of view. In an ideal world, people get vaccinated to help stop the spread of the virus. people wear their masks properly. They stop the spread before it virus mutates even further.
But there are many factors to this, like having the vaccine available for everyone. Even if it is available. Not all would want the vaccine. Okay, some people will claim it is just the flu. We have to respect the people who still do not want to take the risk.
We are being neutral in this scenario. that the return of the way things used to be will take longer. Hence we need to adapt and change.
Online events
For now, online is the best option. But online is not easy as live events. the players are way different. And as most online poker are a very fast pace. And the big events are not sometimes Asia friendly. there are more changes that must happen.
Even poker sites and poker apps must change. Nowadays. most poker sites offer freerolls or free entry tournaments that have equalize luck and skills. In order to actually play a good tournament. People should pay good money. for new players, they are stuck with bad structures and somewhat terrible structures.
But again that is the world we currently live in.
Only people with power can make changes. but without solid ideals. it a soulless machine.
There are people who have the power to change this industry. but during this time as most people struggle to survive.
Sometimes ideals are lost and short-term benefits or short and cheap execution. People need to survive. that is just normal.
But change will not come from those people. it would be from the new generation.
A person with Ideals but without power is just a dreamer.
We sometimes are vocal with our personal views, but the truth is opinion and ideals without power can not make changes.
Hence, we need to gain power.
And slowly we are pushing for that.
We have run quite a few satellites at a loss. We believe in the skills of Filipino players and we want to give them more opportunities.
Hopefully. we can create those opportunities more and soon.
Hello September!
As the ninth month of the year, September marks the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere (and the start of spring in the southern). Traditionally considered the month that marks transitions between seasons, it is often one of the most temperate weather-wise.
September is also the start of autumn
Autumn is also the month where leaves change color and fall. As they fall new leaves will take place.
Of course, there is still a period of hibernation. But it also is the time to prepare for a long winter.
A time for real change!
Maybe it’s time to let go of old stuff.
