Hey, poker players!

How are you? things have been tough for a lot of people lately. Although it is hard to find the sun when it is still pouring hard. some people say the sun will shine. be patient. 

But when?

It is hard to keep fighting especially when you are the head of the family. But we must move forward.

But how?

Accepting the truth

First, we must accept the truth. Only when we accept the things that are real can we move forward.

Yes, the world has been weird lately due to the pandemic. But it was just not the pandemic. We live in a world where there is a lot of fakenesses and it has spread it has spread all over the world. We sometimes can not distinguish left and right. 

Rejecting gaslighting

Gaslighting is very prevalent in today’s world. often times we are victims of such acts. A lot of times people tell us what the world should be and people define our happiness for us.

Sometimes we are engrossed so much in things that people told us will make us happy, but momentary happiness will never make us happy.

Avoiding shortcuts.

Often times we hear people say to us “Baka yumaman ka o kaya baka manalo ka” (you could get rich or you could win.)

Yes, there are people who are talented and there are people who are lucky. But not all of us are blessed.

A lot of us have to work hard to get things. That is just the reality. You want to get rich. then you just have to get better. If you love what you do, then you have to do it better.

But I am doing my best!

Are you? The truth is there are people who are probably in or were in a much worst scenario than you could ever be in your life. 

But no matter how bad things keep happening to them. they fought back. They realized their mistake or simply just kept getting better. 

Asking the right questions

What are you passionate about? What did you do to make yourself better at it?

There were a lot of times people came to us and shared their sad stories.

Let us talk about poker.

We know a lot of players that lamented how they already bought books and read them and how they still kept losing.

The truth is tho, A lot of people never really read the books they bought.

I just do not get chances

More often than not you may have gotten more chances in your life than other people did in their whole life.

And there are chances every day available for everyone.

But sadly, there is a difference between being able to get a chance to change their lives from a person who wants everything handed to them on a silver platter.

But here is the question. What is it that you have done to get better so you are ready for the next chance you are given?

I do not need a sermon.

Maybe, but then again this is a wake-up call.

You can get better and you can be better.

Move forward so you can grow!
