the first half of 2021 was not what we wanted to be. Yes, poker rooms re-open and stuff. There is already a vaccine. restrictions are being eased. A few travels are being allowed.
But like a boxing match where the hero was hammering back. suddenly a surprise left hook took all that back.
A lot of players lost their hope that things will go back to normal.
But do not lose hope!
Things are looking better. We will now break it down and that is why this week rundown. this is reboot 2.0.
Live poker! is it back!
Live poker is back, and most are now practicing 8-handed with barriers. Normally is slowly coming back.

Live tournaments is being push.
There are organizers and live poker rooms reserving tournament slots. Before the lockdown, poker rooms, and houses could not launch any tournament above 1 million without the approval of PAGCOR.
Every year, poker rooms can book their schedule and be at ease that no other tournaments will create any conflict.
There have been reservations on the tournaments schedules. but do not get your hope that high. as a tournament can still be canceled without penalties as long the organizer informs PAGCOR of the cancellation.
The IATF is still in control of the approvals. But there is a definite move to resume tournaments.
USOP is back.
Early this year. a 20 Million PHP GTD was organized by the Universal Grand. it was quite a success.
The great thing about it is that Local unions and local clubs can actually join the grand union. The rumor that allegedly there is a claim that there is a “MKorean” owner and everything in PH is his territory is completely false. There is no truth to this.
We too are tempted to create a club and are in the process. However, our goal is to make a community when we can nurture new players.
