Guest planning to visit Okada Manila will go to certain health procedures before they are allowed to come in.
All entrances leading to inside Okada for guests will have to go through the Box. The box will first measure your Temperature after your temperature is measured. you are done led to enter inside the box where you are lightly sprayed with disinfectant for 6 seconds.
Then you can step out of the box and security measures are next.
Security measures next!
You would be briefly asked to lower your mask so the camera can check your identity. It would only last a few seconds and there are security personnels (maintaining a safe distance) who will guide you.
Next, items will be run through x-ray machines to ensure you are not bringing prohibited materials into the casino.
Inside the casino
Before you enter the casino, you would be reminded to wash your hands with alcohol located conveniently near the entrance.
You are required to wear face masks and face shields inside the casino. Security personals are all around the place to remind people to wear them properly if they spot you not adhering to the policies.
Tables for other casino games have transparent barriers to protect guests from other players.

The poker room
Pokerstars Live is located near the food court. Players can ask any staff of Okada for easier direction.
All poker tables have barriers that have been specifically made for the table. it protects you from the side and front.
All tables have UV light wands that are used by the dealers to sanitize the chips and cards after every hand.
There are alcohols located at the entrance and exit of the poker room and the cashier. food is still not allowed inside the poker room.
The good
You can still play PHP 25-50 with 1k buy-in at PokerStars live. They also have a bad beat jackpot that is nearing PHP 2 Million.
The food court is near the room and if you prefer local food, There is a Jollibee branch in Okada which is just a few walks away.
The best
Pokerstars Live now has an 8 player max table. However, the minimum for 8player max is 50-100.
A special transparent barrier is made just for such game.
Should you play?
Currently, the games have not picked up action. But it was only recently that both curfew and lockdown restrictions were lax.
We are not health experts, but Pokerstars and Okada Manila are doing a great job to ensure the safety of the player.
No tournaments have been scheduled yet. Players who are hungry for poker tournaments should stay home and play online instead.
