The world has changed due to the pandemic. The first few months of 2020 were hard for the Filipino poker players.
A hard lockdown was imposed on March 15, 2020, For months, no gaming establishment was available for Filipinos and some resorted to underground poker rooms.
Restrictions were slowly eased and a live poker room was opened legally in December 2020 with new restrictions.
Online cockfighting went hot as the lure of easy money was too hard for other poker players to resist. But then there are players who stick to what they know and slowly making hits online.
Here are some of the poker players who are doing great online.
Vamerdino Abad Magsakay
Hot off the press. Vam just finished Scoop at 4th place. Which is worth 300,000 USD.
Vam is no stranger to the online felt or the live felt, as he is a member of Metrocard club pros and has done great in recent years.

Alexis “Shoti” Lim just recently finished second place on the Pokerbross XMTT, bagging more than 10,000 USD for his effort.
He has regularly been cashing some good tournaments online and has been stable with his online play.

Possibly the only Filipino that went to the Final Table of the recent USOP events. Dave Spade has been active in cashing in other events online as well.
Known to be playing multiple platforms and is active now in online gaming. It is only a matter of time before you can see him hit another good online event.

A regular in a lot of multiple online events. Edwin is slowly climbing the big events at UPoker and KK Poker.
