The pandemic may have affected a lot of us in so many ways.
Some can only see the bad side, but there are a lot of good sides to it. Yes, we did miss live poker events. But to some, the pandemic thought us lessons that no poker felt will teach.
From changing one’s point of view of life and appreciating the simplest things.
We believe that a poker player to be great and can be considered a champion must also be great as a whole.
For today we are proud to interview a real champion.
Alexis Lim
Alexis Lim is currently at the number 34 spot in the Global poker index of the Philippines. He has cashed many events and is part of the Metro team pro.
He is a rising start before the pandemic. A definite safe bet if you were to bet on tournaments.
But the pandemic changed all of that. All live tournaments in the Philippines were stopped due to the pandemic.
So how is Alexis doing? let us find out.

Zen
What were you doing during the pandemic?
I stay home as much as possible. I only go out when it’s really necessary like groceries etc. my family doesn’t go out as well. I tried to take advantage of this situation by spending a lot of time with my family.
Now that the world is opening, what are your future plans?
My priority is to have myself and my family vaccinated. After that try to explore what business we can get into knowing it will really never be the same as before. And hopefully, play tournament poker soon,
Currently, there are no live tournaments in Manila and no signs of it happening anytime soon.

Did the pandemic change you?
it was a wake-up call, my views on life have changed and I began to appreciate the simplest thing in life. “bumabaw kaligayahan ko”
