Pokerstars Live Manila

Pokerstars Live Manila at Okada Manila is probably the only poker room in Manila operating right now. The other poker rooms that players have played before may have pack up and left.

For months they have been quiet but now that they have opened their doors. It was Warmly received.

Manila has a rich number of poker players. Poker has been in the Philippines for more than ten years.

During the pandemic, a lot of players shifted online. But there is still a good number of players that prefer live games. It’s the way you can play with your chips or maybe it is the feel of the cards in your hand. There will always be players who would prefer to play live than online poker.

Pokerstars was the first to re-open.

Stay safe and hope to see you soon Poker playas!

Changes

Only 6 players are allowed per table, facemask and face shield must be worn at all times. Players that are waiting are not allowed to stay together in the poker room.

Foods establishment like Kiapo is not allowed to deliver food on the table. but some players would buy food and bring it to the room.

The rake is 10% but there is a slightly modified rake table which can be seen in the poker room.

All for the safety and security of the players.

then there the badbeat Jackpot.

The bad beat Jackpot!

The bad beat jackpot has been hit, Prior to closing on March 15, 2020. The bad beat jackpot has reached 7.5 million pesos.  When Pokerstars re-opened. The bad beat jackpot went up to more than 8 million pesos before it was hit on January 2, 2021.

Now it is back to 1 million PHP.

Back then when it was 8 million PHP, players were going to Okada and would wait in order to have a seat.

Now that the biggest crowd drawer was hit. How is it?

What’s happening now?

Amazingly, there are still a good number of players are playing at Pokerstars Live Manila. Unlike before when the bad beat jackpot gets hit and tables could only be formed in the late afternoon. Being the only Poker room in Manila has its advantage. Tables are opened early.

If you are planning to play 25-50, the minimum buy-in is 1,000 PHP and Max at 5,000 PHP. while the 50-100 minimum buy-in is at 5,000. Be ready however that if you are planning to play 25-50 that you might have to wait for a long time. The priority of the house is set at the 50-100.

The future

Pokerstars Live Manila is set to become the leader in the Manila poker scene. Not many contenders for this spot due to the IATF restrictions.

The Vaccine might take a while, but if they can keep making their presence felt and with the PSPC and other tourneys coming back. they may gain a foothold in the Manila market.

Maybe poker tournaments will run soon at Okada Manila. Only time will tell.

But for now. Pokerstars Live Manila is the place to play in Manila.
