With only a day away before we welcome 2021, Who stands on top of Asia GPI?

Yes, there may have been fewer tournaments this year due to the pandemic, and GPI may have announced they are not giving any rewards this year. but who actually stands on top of it?

We will be updating the rankings today and the next few days, but here are the current people on top of the GPI(Global Poker Index).

Number 1 – Pete Chen (Taiwan)

Pete Chen first recorded was way back in 2011, Finishing 12th in the Macau Poker Cup – No-limit hold-em Deep stack event at the Lisboa Hotel and Casino.

He has since earned more than 3 million USD from playing poker.

He won Pokerstars as Asia player of the year in 2014. and also WPT Asia player of the year in 2018.

He was seen playing online during the first WSOP Online poker at GG poker and is one of GG Poker brand ambassadors belonging to the Natural8 team.

With a vaccine for the coronavirus already available, Live poker will be once again active in the near future. We hope to see him more on Live events outside Taiwan.

Number 2 – Quan Zhou (China)

Currently, he is also the number one GPI player from China. Quan Zhou is one of the more successful poker players hailing from China

His first recorded win was the Macau Poker Cup No-Limit Hold em – Red dragon Event back in 2011. 

China had active tournaments which help boost his career winnings putting him on top of the GPI Asian list.

Number 3 – Hao Tian (China)

Biggest live cash
88,221 USD

Hao Tian first recorded win was in 2013 in the APPT Macau – No limit Hold em KO event. 

He did well on the live scene in 2013 and did even better in 2015. He recorded winning for 2017, but jump right back up in 2018 which was his best recorded year so far.

He also hails from China and has been actively playing there.
