With big mergers, expect there will be some casualty.

Flutter Entertainment and The Stars Group have agreed to a merger that will form a gargantuan online gambling company.

One of the effects that are Pokerstars will no longer be accessible in some countries. The countries that are affected are China, Taiwan, and Macau.

Thousand of players will be affected by this move.

Flutter and PokerStars have a different conflicting opinion on operating in these markets. Flutter prefers to expand into more regulated markets. Hence, it is leaving what they consider black markets.

China has long been promoting that it is against gambling. Preferring to stay away from uncertain markets Even at the loss of $65 million doesn’t sway Flutter’s new decision-makers.

With the exit of Pokerstars, it is an opportunity for some of its competitors to grab some market shares.
